Crafted in vegetable-tanned leather, chiselled by hand into an ornate Mexican floral pattern, Mia is a beautifully made, relaxed boho shoulder bag.

Hand stitched around the edges in a contrast rustic whip stitch there are more artisanal touches in the old-style shoulder strap buckle & rivets, and wooden toggle closure.

The interior is natural (also leather), with whip stitching and an internal zip closing pocket.

Mia’s rounded saddle bag shape not only has a nostalgic 60’s leather bag vibe, it makes for a comfortable fit under arm when slung over your shoulder.

Shoulder strap length is adjustable.

Mia’s leather is very hardwearing – it will last for many years, gradually softening and gaining a patina which will only accentuate its fabulous, slouchy 60s bohemian style.

Manufacture:

The La Marca collection combines traditional Mexican artisanal craft with a modern designer aesthetic. All bags are made from quality vegetable-tanned leather, with ethical production practices, by a family-run business in Mexico.

Leather tooling is a traditional Mexican craft typically passed down within families and traces back to a masculine heritage of horsemanship and elaborately detailed saddles, belts and boots.

Vegetable-tanning is an environmentally friendly process which does not involve harsh industrial chemicals. Both labour and time intensive, it is the ‘original’ leather tanning process, dating back hundreds of years before it was overtaken by modern chemical factory methods.
